Ambassador to relax Covid rules on most sailings

Ambassador Cruise Line will remove its requirement for pre-departure Covid-19 testing on most of its sailings from April 3.

Passengers aged 18 and over must have had two vaccinations to board, but are no longer required to have had a booster jab or take a test in order to travel.

Children do not need to have had any vaccines or take a test.

The line said it made the change after “careful consideration and discussions with independent advisors and London Port Health Authority”.

It added any passengers who show any Covid-19 symptoms within 72 hours of departure are encouraged to take a test at home “as a courtesy to their fellow travellers”.

Requirements may differ for Ambassador’s longer duration cruises, such as Ambience’s 120-night 2024 Grand Round the World Cruise. The line said it will contact passengers booked on affected cruises in due course.
