Hurtigruten appoints Iain Powell as UK sales and marketing VP

Hurtrigruten has appointed Iain Powell as vice-president of sales and marketing for the UK and EMEA.

Powell replaces Anthony Daniels who announced his departure last week after nine years with the company.

Powell has more than a decade of experience in the travel industry, having held positions at Tui, Carnival UK and, most recently, as trading director for Saga Travel Group.

He will begin his new role on March 18.

“Hurtigruten is a company I have long admired so to have the opportunity to lead the UK and EMEA teams at such an exciting time is fantastic,” said Powell.

“I have been lucky enough to form strong relationships in the industry and I feel very fortunate to now be joining a business with such awareness and recognition of the importance of their agent partners.

“I also feel very privileged to inherit such a strong, dedicated and passionate team that together with our trade partners will be vital in supporting the growth of Hurtigruten as we embark on this next phase.”
