The most expensive suite on Royal Caribbean’s new ship Icon of the Seas is 92% sold for 2024.

The vessel boasts one Ultimate Family Townhouse which can sleep up to eight people and costs from $75,000 a week.

Bert Hernandez, senior vice-president, international, told Travel Weekly the cabin is 92% sold for the coming year, and is driving sales for the new ship, which will make its debut in January 2024.

“Royal Caribbean has such a popular following with a huge number of loyal customers that will keep coming back and are keen to try anything new.

“The Ultimate Family Townhouse is such a novelty product that those people who have sailed with us numerous times will be desperate to try as it’s something completely different to what we have done before.

“That $75,000 figure is our base price for the suite, but we have a number of sailings that we charge far more for, such as over New Year’s Eve.

“During the New Year’s Eve sailing, the Ultimate Family Townhouse can easily cost up to $100,000, but it is already sold as people are so excited to experience it, which is amazing new for us.”

He added: “Because we limited the suite class to just one, we made it so there are only 52 weeks in an entire year that customers can secure it, which drives up demand and means sales have been outstanding.”
