Inspire Group staff see pay rise by 12% in a year

A 7% pay rise is being given to Inspire Group staff in the face of the cost of living crisis on top of a 5% increase handed out last April.

The Cheshire-based travel agency and tour operator has also increased its level of annual leave from 22 to to 25 days a year plus bank holidays.

Recently announced additional benefits include enhanced sickness and family leave policies, an improved maternity, paternity and adoption leave policy, as well as two weeks bereavement leave on full pay for those who suffer the loss of any immediate family members.

The new initiatives come on top of a company-wide wellness scheme introduced last September that includes a bespoke menopause programme to support both men and woman.

Long-service awards have also been implemented to recognise those who have been with the company between five and 15 years and an overseas working policy to help employees work from outside the UK.

Inspire Group managing director Lisa Henning said that staff remuneration and well-being were top priorities in an increasingly competitive market.

She added: “We are working hard to create a working environment that is increasingly supportive of our colleagues as we fully recognise that their wellbeing is vital to our ongoing success.

“As well as the pay rises, over the last 12 months we have put in place a detailed wellness programme and have announced even more employee benefits for 2023.

“We have received excellent feedback from the team on the roll-out of the new benefits, and colleagues are telling us that they feel very well supported by the company.

“Our success as a business is based on all the collective efforts of our team and it’s really important to us as a board that they feel valued and cared for in these uncertain times.

“We are also very confident that our newly enhanced HR proposition will bring major benefits as we seek to bring new talent into our business.”
