Jules Verne hosts agents in Egypt for first educational

Jules Verne has hosted a group of six agents in Egypt on the escorted tour operator’s first fam trip earlier this month.

Hosted by Jules Verne’s business development manager, Abbey Renshaw, the nine-night trip marked the recent launch of the operator’s dedicated Egypt brochure, which includes five new tours.

As well as visits to Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, the agents took a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, a sunset boat trip on the Nile and saw the pyramids in Saqqara.

They flew with Egyptair – six of the group departing from Heathrow and two from Manchester on the airline’s new service from the northern hub to Cairo.

Travel Counsellor Melissa Coleman said: “Having the opportunity to be within four feet of King Tutankhamen’s 5,000-year-old mummified body was among the highlights for me.

“This was followed by a hieroglyphic lesson at Medina Habu and a cheeky hot air balloon ride above Hatshepsut’s sprawling temple.

“I will most definitely be recommending Jules Verne; particularly if Abbey’s amazing patience, hospitality and unflappable personality is any reflection on the company itself.”

Jules Verne is also running an incentive until the end of October to boost Egypt bookings.

Agents booking a Jules Verne Egypt tour for their customers between September 4 and October 31 can enter the prize draw to win a Nile cruise for two including flights.

The winner will be announced on November 1 via the Jules Verne Trade Facebook page.

The Egyptian promotion is the brand’s biggest agent incentive, following its launch to the trade in January.
