Kuoni to host four fams as part of new trade training programme

Kuoni has launched a new programme of training for trade partners as the operator “steps up its efforts to become the go-to operator for premium worldwide trips”.

Following the unveiling of its new-look brand in January, the operator aims to help agents with destination expertise, service and attention to detail “designed to exceed clients’ expectations”.

There will be four overseas educationals for trade partners, with the first Sri Lanka trip departing on March 26.

Two more are planned this year for the Maldives and one to Thailand.

The overseas trips are designed to be small, boutique groups to build relationships and showcase the Kuoni difference.

New training events throughout the UK include ‘Kuoni Introducing…’ which highlight the operator’s range, service, reasons for booking and exclusive resorts.

They will be hosted at 18 UK locations by Matt Sole, Kuoni’s trade engagement executive, with a format that has been upgraded following feedback from agents.

The other new events are Kuoni’s ‘Passport to…’ which focus on a specific destination, and will include Africa, Indian Ocean and Far East.

Sarah Weetman (pictured), head of trade partnerships, said: “Our rebrand is about broadening our appeal, and bringing Kuoni within reach of more people and creating a seamless experience which is a cut above anything else.

“We have a dedicated Expert Hub call centre which is focused on support for trade partners with short wait times and people who really know their stuff.

“We’ve got a brilliant trade team with Adam, Sarah, Matt, Dani and Alix all there to host the training throughout the UK and are looking forward to spending more time with our trade partners”.
