Protected Trust Services has appointed Sarah Ryan as business development manager in its new membership team.
Ryan, who started her career as a travel agent, has held business development roles at The Global Travel Group, Rogers Hospitality, WebBeds and Advantage Travel Partnership, where her main responsibilities have been in membership support and sales. She has worked outside the industry for the past 15 months.
PTS owner Daniel Landen said the group was focused on a strategic plan for 2022 given the increased popularity of the trust account financial protection model with agents and operators and “consistent demand from UK travel businesses” to join the group.
He said: “Sarah is our first appointment of 2022 and we are thrilled to welcome Sarah. She is the right fit for PTS and for our members.
“With Sarah originally starting her career as a travel agent and rounding her career in travel through business development, commercial negotiations and member support at various consortiums we are confident Sarah will excel at PTS and assist us in enhancing our membership offering to the UK travel trade.”
Ryan said she was “excited to be back” in the travel industry, adding: “With my knowledge, experience and relationships built I am keen to enhance and work alongside my new colleagues in the sales team to recruit new members and raise awareness of the benefits of the PTS trust account model. I really enjoy building relationships, existing and new. I am keen to get started with the team at PTS and help to drive this exciting business forward.”
Sales director Mark Sutton said PTS was expanding its team to ensure it maintained “high standards and customer care” for members and support for companies looking to join.
“We are looking forward to welcoming more members to PTS and supporting the UK travel businesses that are so eager to embrace the trust account model. Our team will develop in correlation with PTS’ extensive growth – exciting times are ahead for PTS and its members,” he said.
