A second former Carnival UK sales chief has returned to the cruise industry at Hurtigruten Expeditions.
Alex Delamere-White, who was sales vice-president at Carnival UK before becoming sales and marketing vice-president at flagship brand P&O Cruises, has become new acting chief commercial officer at the Norwegian line.
He is reunited with former P&O Cruises sales director Nathaniel Sherborne, who was recruited a month ago to become UK and Nordics sales and marketing vice-president at Hurtigruten Expeditions.
An active search is under way for a permanent CCO, and Delamere-White is part of that process, the company said.

Both Delamere-White and Sherbourne have moved to Hurtigruten Expeditions after periods working for retirement home developer and operator McCarthy Stone.
Delamere-White’s decade-long career at Carnival UK included leading sales and marketing teams, e-commerce as well as loyalty programmes across brands including P&O Cruises, Cunard and Princess Cruises.
He became chief commercial officer at McCarthy Stone in May 2021.
In his new role, he will be based in London leading a team that includes Sherborne.
Current chief commercial officer Steven Taylor will leave Hurtigruten Expeditions at the end of July less than two years after senior marketing and commercial roles at Accor, Shangri-La and Starwood Hotels.
Hurtigruten Group chief executive Daniel Skjeldam said: “Bringing this depth of industry talent into our global commercial team, at a time when we are seeing incredible interest in our expedition products, will continue to strengthen our position.”
Meanwhile, Anthony Daniels has become vice0president, sales & marketing for the UK and emerging markets from his previous role as general manager, head of sales, for Hurtigruten Group.
The adventure line has also expanded its division in Asia by taking on four additional sales staff to serve mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
