APT & Travelmarvel to focus on trade with peaks campaign

Half price cruises and escorted tours lead APT & Travelmarvel’s peaks push as it seeks to drive trade bookings.

A second successive year of TV advertising from January will feature a call to action to book via local travel agents.

The discounts of up to 50% in the worldwide sale are available from today (Monday) until February 29.

The trade will be offered “aggressive” tactical offers across the company’s worldwide portfolio.

These include river cruises in Europe, Vietnam and Cambodia sailings, Croatian yachting, and escorted tours in Canada, Alaska and New Zealand.

The campaign will be further supported by a “generous” agent booking incentive – details of which have yet to be unveiled – and a redesigned APT & Travelmarvel website including new video content and images.

The sale includes APT’s new ship on the Mekong, the Mekong Serenity, and MS Estrela, which is set to enter service for Travelmarvel on the Douro river in Portugal in September.

Head of sales and business development Brad Bennetts said: “We are excited to unveil our 2024 worldwide sale campaign, and confident that the aggressive savings on offer and wide-reaching marketing activity will create an open goal for our agent partners, so they can maximise their sales opportunities at this most commercially significant time of the year.

“Expanded TV advertising, heavy investment into direct and digital marketing, and impactful sales tools for the trade mean that we can inspire prospective customers on a massive scale.

“This will allow us to reach new audiences, raise the profile of river cruising, and showcase why this is an unbeatable way to holiday.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to agents, all our consumer activity and investment into TV advertising is designed to inspire and create warm leads, then steer the resultant booking opportunities directly to the trade.”
