HF Holidays strikes partnership with Traveleyes

Walking and special interest operator HF Holidays has struck a partnership with Traveleyes, the company founded by Amar Latif to help travellers who are blind or visually impaired.

From spring 2024, HF Holidays will run Traveleyes itineraries across the world and offer a new range of trips for visually impaired and sighted people travelling together.

HF Holidays chief executive David Harrington said: “We are excited to learn from operating and powering the Traveleyes product, while providing our group walking holiday expertise to Traveleyes.”

Latif, who had lost 95% of his sight by the age of 18, set up Traveleyes in 2004 after being rejected as a solo traveller by mainstream operators.

Each Traveleyes tour group has a balance of sighted and visually impaired travellers, with the sighted customers getting a reduced price because of their role as guides.

Latif said: “I’m delighted about our partnership with HF Holidays which means that Traveleyes continues to move forward and expand, opening up more of the world to all our customers and helping them create more shared memories while enjoying the HF Holidays’ ethos of fun, friendship, fellowship and fresh air.”

Harrington added: “We are honoured to join forces with Amar Latif and his company, Traveleyes, to continue their ground-breaking work in challenging preconceptions surrounding vision-impaired travel and provide greater inclusivity to travel experiences.”
