PTS launches investigation into Travel Inspired Ltd amid customer complaints

Protected Trust Services has launched an investigation into Scotland-based Travel Inspired Ltd and terminated its membership after becoming aware of “several issues” with the firm.

The consortium confirmed the steps as regional newspaper The Courier reported a number of the firm’s customers had complained about making payments for holidays that never materialised.

Travel Inspired traded as Conor Campbell Travel and Race Weekend Breaks and was owned by Conor Campbell, who opened his first shop in Crieff, near Perth, in 2020 at the age of 22.

The Courier reported the shop was now shuttered.

A statement from PTS said: “Protected Trust Services (PTS) are aware of several issues concerning Travel Inspired Ltd, also trading as Conor Campbell Travel and Race Weekend Breaks.

“We placed Travel Inspired Ltd on stop sale, some time ago, with our supplier partners whilst we hold our investigation. PTS has also terminated Travel Inspired Ltd membership.”

It added: “Consumer protection is of paramount importance to PTS. If customers believe they may be affected, they are urged to reach out to us at ask@protectedtrustservices.com. Our PTS team is working with those impacted to address and resolve their concerns.

“Our unwavering commitment remains to our partners and consumers. We will do our utmost to ensure that every traveller sees their booking fulfilled.”

Travel Weekly has contacted Conor Campbell for comment.
