Travelpack has appointed Emma Sanger-Horwell as director of cruise as the operator targets a rise in sales from the sector.
Sanger-Horwell will be tasked with expanding the operator’s existing B2B cruise product, with a focus on expedition and smaller boutique cruises.
As part of her role she will oversee the development of fully packaged cruise products and provide the trade with "innovative ideas and marketing collateral", to help agents communicate these opportunities to their clients.
“We have ambitious plans to be the trade’s one-stop shop for cruise,” said Sanger-Horwell.
Sanger-Horwell will also help lead the relaunch of Travelpack’s B2C business, which includes a new client-facing luxury cruise business and an updated website.
This relaunch aims to strengthen the brand’s consumer engagement and offer a "sophisticated platform for those seeking premium cruising experiences".
Sanger-Horwell joins from Kenwood Travel, where she played a key role in launching its cruise product as head of cruise.
"I have had a great two years with Kenwood Travel and wish them all the best in moving forward with their business,” she said.
“For me, it’s time to move on, and this opportunity excites me no end. It’s a massive task, but I fully embrace it. With the right team in place, I am confident that we can make both the trade and customer-facing businesses a huge success.”
Travelpack director Vishal Patel said: "We are happy and honoured to have Emma on board to spearhead and drive our new businesses forward.
“With her extensive knowledge and respected position in the cruise industry, we feel excited about the direction in which she will take us.”
