Wizz Air expects a full return of service to Israel next month.
The budget carrier is to resume flights to Tel Aviv from August 8 with 10 routes from eight countries, including the UK.
“The full return to service of 24 routes to 11 countries should be deployed by mid-September,” the eastern and central European low fares carrier said.
The disclosure came as Wiz Air reported a 6.8% year-on-year rise in July passenger carryings to 6.35 million.
This came as seat capacity grew by 7.9% over the same month last year, resulting in a load factor of 92.8%, down one percentage point.
“Load factor was negatively impacted by the geopolitical crisis in the Middle East as well as the late loading of Tel Aviv cancellation-driven replacements,” the airline said.
The return to Israel comes after Wizz Air announced a “strategic realignment” closing its Abu Dhabi offshoot from September 1, with a renewed focus on core markets.
A statement said: “Wizz Air continues to strengthen its core central and eastern European footprint, having announced it will open a new base at Warsaw Modlin airport in December 2025 with initially two A321neo aircraft and by adding additional A321neo aircraft to our Kraków, Katowice and Skopje bases.
