The Expedition Cruise Network has launched a two-tier training platform for the trade.
The platform, called The Expedition Cruise Academy, is now live and has free and premium membership options for agents.
Free membership will provide taster courses on suppliers which will provide an overview of the operator, details of its fleet with downloadable fact sheets, along with information on key destinations, unique selling points and available trade resources.
In addition to these courses which range from micro-cruise operators to larger lines, premium members will be able to access more in-depth content about the wider expedition cruise industry for a fee of $99 per year or £77 on an early-bird offer.
Further information on destinations, expedition cruise jargon, how to compare the sector to other forms of travel and matching the right ship and operator to clients will be offered to these members as well as selling guides, brand unique selling points, insight reports, priority access to fam trips and exclusive events among other benefits.
Each training will conclude with a short quiz and downloadable certificate upon completion.
Expedition Cruise Network co-founder and chief executive officer Akvile Marozaite said: "We are incredibly excited to launch The Expedition Cruise Academy, our brand new platform showcasing the most dynamic tourism industry.
"There is nothing like this comprehensive hub on expedition cruise in the market today and it not only offers key insights into the industry but provides a key training path for travel advisors to become professional experts in expedition cruising.
"We are committed to being the number one provider for agents looking to grow their knowledge in this everchanging industry."
She added: "Our monthly webinars and website resources have already helped hundreds of travel advisors to deepen their expertise in selling expedition cruising and we are delighted that we can evolve our training products to appeal to an even wider audience."
