HX Expeditions has launched its itineraries for the 2027-28 season, promising more opportunities for “slow and mindful travel” and to “go deeper” into destinations.
The programme features expeditions to Antarctica, Greenland, Arctic Canada, Iceland, Patagonia and the Outer Hebrides.
Highlights for the season include more itineraries in Arctic Canada which have been co-designed with Inuit Elders, following a launch this summer.
These form part of the operator’s Northwest Passage itineraries and feature new community-led excursions to give passengers more of an insight into Indigenous traditions.
HX will expand its kayaking and camping programme in Antarctica for the 2027-28 season, as well increase the number of expeditions in Greenland and partnerships with local chefs following a successful 2025-26 season.
The expedition operator will also “evolve” its HX Explorers Loyalty Programme with a new points system and four-tier structure of bronze, silver, gold and platinum, to reward travellers for every night they sail.
Chief executive Gebhard Rainer said: "At HX, our strategy has always been about creating lasting connections with the places and people we visit.
“For our 27/28 season, we’re not just adding new pins to our map – we’re going deeper: the ultimate in slow and mindful travel.
“Whether it’s exploring the untouched wilderness of Greenland with local Greenlandic chefs or designing community-led experiences with Inuit Elders in Arctic Canada, we’re focused on offering our guests the chance to see the world differently.”
