A range of 28 new active trips for 2026 have been unveiled by Intrepid Travel.
They feature hiking, cycling, kayaking, snorkelling and rafting adventures worldwide.
The new options cover Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas balancing outdoor activities with cultural experiences, travelling within small groups using a local leader.
Designed for travellers who enjoy active, nature-based travel, the introduction comes amid growing demand for active adventures and more people prioritising nature and outdoor activities on their holidays, according to the operator.
The range includes five multi-active trips, 21 walking and trekking trips, and two cycling itineraries, bringing Intrepid’s total active offerings to 148.
The new trips are now available to book and depart from February 2026.
Intrepid has seen a 13% year on year increase in UK bookings across its active trips, with its multi-active range - which offers a mix of physical activities - up by a quarter.
“This momentum reflects a broader lifestyle shift towards health and wellbeing, with community run club participation up 59% year-on-year in 2024 and the global wellness economy expected to expand by 7.3% annually,” a company statement said.
General manager of experiences Erica Kritikides said: “Intrepid’s style of travel has always resonated with people seeking active adventure, which makes this broader societal shift towards health and wellbeing especially exciting.”
“For many travellers, the best way to unwind is by moving, and that’s exactly what our active adventures are all about. These trips let travellers move, explore and reconnect with nature, while sharing the experiences with a community of like-minded travellers.”
