Intrepid Travel has expanded its offering in Saudi Arabia with two additional open-gender trips.
The move follows the successful launch of its inaugural 12-day Women’s Expedition in 2024.
The new trips will depart from April 25, 2026 in partnership with local operator Sara Omar.
The seven-day Saudi Arabia Expedition costs from £2,561 and will visit the lesser-known Asir region in the southwest of the country.
The itinerary includes a hike through Tanomah’s mountains, a visit to the museum of Fatima Faye Al-Almaai and a local Asiri meal followed by a visit to the region’s oldest traditional markets.
The nine-day Saudi Arabia Highlights trip leads in from £3,468 and will take travellers from the capital to the coast.
Highlights include a traditional meal at a women’s project in Al-Ghat, camping under the stars on a local farm in AlUla, exploring the Holy City of Madinah with a local female guide and a home-cooked lunch with a grandmother in Riyadh.
The seven-day itinerary can be combined with the nine-day or 12-day trips to create a longer journey covering more of the country.
Intrepid Travel general manager of global experiences Erica Kritikides said: “Intrepid fundamentally believes that travel can be a force for good and we recognise that there is a broader appetite amongst travellers to explore Saudi Arabia in ways that contribute positively to local communities, particularly women.
“We’re excited to continue evolving our offerings to all our travellers, while supporting women-owned businesses, creating employment pathways for women and showcasing lesser-known destinations.”
