Three new expeditions for women in Peru, Cambodia and Bhutan have been released by Intrepid Travel.
The new trips from September range from 8 to 11 days in duration and will be led by local female leaders.
They feature women-led activities that aim to break down gender barriers and support female-owned businesses, according to the adventure operator.
Women now make up more than half of Intrepid’s travellers and the women’s expedition range grew by 32% in 2025, with 77% of travellers joining solo.
The dedicated range now spans eight itineraries, including in India, Morocco, Nepal and Turkey.
Women represent 36% of Intrepid trip leaders worldwide, with the company aiming to reach 40% by 2030 as it continues to expand its portfolio of women-led experiences.
The latest trips will directly help to develop 12 women-led experiences and support eight new to Intrepid female-owned businesses.
General manager of experiences Erika Kritikides said: “As we continue to evolve our women’s expeditions range, we’re prioritising destinations where tourism can deliver meaningful positive impact, while offering unique, women-led experiences for our travellers.
“Travel has the power to create positive change, and we recognise that when women are empowered, it creates a ripple effect within the community.
“These trips support women tourism entrepreneurs and help break down gender barriers in the industry - and as women step forward, they’re holding the door open for others to follow.
“We remain committed to working closely with our local teams to support these women and advance gender equality in tourism.”
