Cruise agency ROL Cruise has given £35,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support after a year of fundraising.
Last year, the agency donated £20,000 to the charity to help deliver support services across the UK, including helplines, counselling, community-based assistance and specialist guidance for those navigating diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Since then, staff of the employee-owned business have come together to raise further funds with highlights including the Mighty Hike Marathon, a company-wide Macmillan Coffee Morning, a wreath-making workshop and Christmas jumper day.
In addition, 50 office computers that were no longer used were sold to co-owners of the business, with all proceeds contributing to the donation total.
Chief executive Rosie Cairns said: “We are incredibly proud to have raised £35,000 for Macmillan in 2025.
“Cancer sadly affects so many, so supporting Macmillan has felt deeply personal.
“The way our co-owners have come together – baking, hiking, donating and getting involved in every way – has been so touching. This total reflects the generosity, compassion and team spirit that runs through ROL Cruise, and we’re delighted the funds will help Macmillan continue their vital work.”
Macmillan Cancer Support relationship fundraising manager Alex Howe said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team at ROL Cruise, who have once again been fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support during 2025 and raised such an incredible amount.
“Their fantastic support will make a real difference for people living with cancer, funding our vital support services for those who need it most and helping ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
“As an organisation that is 98% funded by public donations, we are so grateful to the team at ROL Cruise for their wonderful support. They have really gone above and beyond with their fundraising this year, and the £35,000 they donated will help fund some of our vital services. We are so grateful for their support.”
