Touring and adventure aggregator Tourhub has agreed a strategic technical alliance with US-based online travel platform Culture Trip.
Tourhub has been selected to integrate its search and booking engine into travel e-commerce brand Culture Trip’s digital ecosystem.
The collaboration will see a “significant” step up in distribution for Tourhub’s global network of partner tour operators as they gain exposure to a highly engaged and culturally driven audience, drastically increasing their reach into key US and international markets, according to the company
It will allow Culture Trip’s audience, including those from its three million-plus app downloads and social following, to go from browsing inspirational content to instantly booking an adventure.
Culture Trip, founded in 2011, claims more than eight million social followers and two billion views of its videos.
A statement said: “This alliance immediately empowers Culture Trip’s millions of travel-hungry, culturally curious members to search and book thousands of curated, multi-day touring and adventure packages worldwide.
“Travellers can now move directly from procrastination to packing for thousands of tours in just a few clicks, validating the platform’s shift towards content-to-commerce.”
Tourhub chief executive Seamus Conlon said: “Integrating our cutting-edge search and booking technology with Culture Trip’s influential platform is a huge technical and commercial win.
“It is a powerful validation of Tourhub’s role in making touring and adventure travel easily accessible, ensuring our operators gain unparalleled exposure to a highly qualified, global community seeking multi-day experiences.”
