Lunn Poly rebrand in south Wales

LUNN Poly shops in south Wales are expected to be rebranded Travel House in a move to exploit the strength of the Swansea-based agency.

One shop in Swansea has already rebranded with the multiple admitting others could follow in towns where it has more than one branch.

“It’s an option to rebrand,” said managing director Nigel David. “We are always looking at our mix of business.”

However he denied Lunn Poly shops across the country have been earmarked for closure.

Meanwhile, the multiple has completed its restructure in a move it claimed will speed up decision making and give staff more responsibility. But David stressed that jobs have been created, rather than lost in the shake-up.

“All have been given broader roles. With new media there are plenty of opportunities,” he said.

The focus on new media comes as the multiple signed a deal with Telewest.

It will provide travel content to Telewest’s digital interactive TV service which began broadcasting in March.

Airtours, First Choice, Thomas Cook and British Airways are already content providers to the service.
