Travel Weekly’s sister brand Aspire unveils a new event series as it celebrates 10 years of support for the luxury travel sector.
Luxury travel trade magazine Aspire is introducing a new overnight event series as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Aspire Escapes will allow agents and suppliers to build stronger business partnerships and relationships by spending quality time together in an informal setting.
There will be three Escapes this year – two in June and one in October. The first, on June 15, will see Aspire enjoy exclusive use of Wilderness Reserve’s new property Chapel Barn in Suffolk.
It will be followed by Escapes at ‘back-to-nature’ luxury hotel The Fish, in the Cotswolds, on June 24, and at The Newt, a country-house hotel in Somerset, on October 12.
A minimum of 15 agents will be handpicked for each event, which will feature 10 supplier partners.
Aspire editor Hollie-Rae Brader said: “I’m delighted to announce our new Aspire Escapes. We’ve committed to hosting at least three of these events in 2020 as part of our 10th anniversary celebrations.
“Aspire Escapes will allow agents and suppliers to build stronger business partnerships and relationships.”
“We know our Aspire agent members and suppliers value spending quality time together in less formal settings, and our Escapes will cater to this desire.”
The Aspire Escapes will complement the brand’s annual overseas VIP trip The Retreat, as well as the Aspire Luxury Travel Forums, which will run again this year. There will be five forums this year – three in London and two in Manchester.
Aspire Luxury Travel Forums will be held on April 20 and November 17 in Manchester, and on February 27, April 22 and November 16 in London. The February 27 London forum will be held in partnership with Visit USA.
Aspire was set up in 2010 with the aim of supporting the luxury travel community.
“The Aspire Escapes will complement the brand’s annual overseas VIP trip The Retreat, as well as the Aspire Luxury Travel Forums.”
Over the past decade, it has increased the number of agents it reaches, as well as its output. The magazine is now published five times a year, up from quarterly, and Aspire organises more than 20 events a year including the Aspire Awards and Leaders of Luxury conference. Aspire also provides marketing support for agent members via consumer-facing digital magazine Discover, which agents overbrand and send to clients.
