Agents and operators have got into the spirit of April Fools’ Day by sharing a range of fake updates across their social media pages to amuse their customers.
G Adventures promised its “most revolutionary travel innovation” – a new travel style called ‘Mall Group Adventures’ designed for travellers who want to explore the world through shopping centres.
The operator’s description of the “new range” states: “With options ranging from half-day escapes to multi-week mall expeditions, Mall Group Adventures promises travellers the ultimate convenience-driven adventure, with everything you need right at your fingertips.”
Ambassador Cruise Line meanwhile claimed it had built a record-breaking five-foot-tall baked Alaska, while Iglu Cruise revealed an April Fools story about a new “kinetic class” of ship which is fully powered by passengers, due to set sail in 2029.
