EasyJet adds 90,000 seats to ski and sun destinations

EasyJet is hiking capacity by adding about 90,000 extra seats to ski and beach destinations.

More flights will be available from Gatwick, Luton, Bristol, Manchester, and Liverpool, including over Easter and into the summer.

As many as 50,000 of the additional seats cover winter sports destinations such as Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon, Salzburg and Sofia.

As part of the total, 20,000 more seats are available from Liverpool to destinations including Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus, and 6,000 additional seats from Manchester to Malaga for this summer.

The budget carrier now claims to be providing more seats to European test-free destinations from the UK than any other airline now that countries including Spain, Portugal, Greece, Germany, France and Switzerland have removed testing for the fully vaccinated.

One-way fares start at £20.99 to Barcelona and Faro from Liverpool, £22.99 to Geneva from Bristol, £25.99 to Alicante from Liverpool and £26.99 to Salzburg from Gatwick.

UK country manager Ali Gayward said: “We know that so many people have missed being able to holiday over the last two years and so it is a priority for many UK consumers.

“We are excited about our plans for next summer, which should see us return to near 2019 levels of flying and we can’t wait to welcome our customers back onboard.”
