EasyJet holidays has been named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2023, four years after being established.
The budget airline’s in-house tour operation was given special recognition as a medium organisation for the employee experience it provides, as voted by staff through a companywide survey, as well as being highly commended as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQIA+ employees.
The Sunday Times listing for the company said: “Every two weeks, the 187 employees of this Luton-based tour operator have “permission to pause” by taking two hours away from their job to do something to help their wellbeing.
“The firm aims to make work a pleasure too, with team events as well as a share scheme, flight discounts and holiday vouchers.”

It added: “LGBTQIA+ employees at this Luton-based holiday branch of the easyJet business – launched in 2019 – are highly engaged with their work, reporting a 96.6% score.
“There’s access for all staff to in-house management and development schemes, training courses and an online learning academy.
“Perks include ‘significant discounts’ on flights, annual holiday vouchers and a shares scheme.”
The operator launched in late 2019 with a team of 50, before facing the industry-wide challenges of the pandemic.
More than 230 people are now employed with the business having recruited from sectors including travel, retail, technology and government.
Chief executive Garry Wilson said: “I’m a huge believer that our fast growth and success since we launched our new holidays business is down to the remarkable team we have.
“I’m thrilled that our team is so excited by what we’re doing in the industry, and I’m passionate about making sure they feel they are making a unique and valuable contribution.
“This prestigious list recognises not only the efforts we put into making sure we offer a brilliant employee experience, but also the culture, teamwork and common goal we are lucky enough to share.”
