A new head of distribution to lead travel trade partnerships joins easyJet holidays next week.
Kelly Walker was most recently trade and partnerships manager at villa specialist Oliver’s Travels and previously James Villas.
She takes up the position at the UK budget carrier’s in-house tour operation on September 12 leading a distribution team which work with more than 3,000 agents.
Her appointment comes just over two years since the company launched its partnership with independent travel agents, including the introduction of a trade portal and the provision of marketing material for both high street and home workers
Head of partnerships Roy Stratford said: “There is no doubt that the travel trade has been a hugely important contributor to our growth over the past two years.
“So, I’m delighted to confirm that Kelly Walker is joining us as our new head of distribution to help drive forward our successful trade partnership.”
Walker added: “I couldn’t be more excited to join the easyJet holidays team. It’s a young company with big ambitions and it’s already making a mark on the industry, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the distribution team and our travel agent partners.”
