Ryanair unveils 24 new routes for summer 2022

Budget carrier Ryanair will offer 24 new routes across Europe as part of its summer 2022 schedule.

More than 500 services will operate from UK airports next summer, with fares from £29.99 as part of a seat sale which runs to November 25.

The new links include Zadar in Croatia, from Birmingham, Bournemouth, Liverpool and Newcastle; and Madeira from Stansted and Manchester airports.

Others are Bournemouth-Bergerac, Liverpool-Brussels Charleroi, Stansted-Menorca, Manchester-Vienna and Newcastle-Chania.

Ryanair said it will have 65 new B737-8200 ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft in its fleet by next summer, making the summer 2022 schedule “the most sustainable and environmentally friendly to date”.

Jason McGuinness, commercial director at the airline, urged customers to book direct with Ryanair, adding: “With air fares set to increase by summer ‘22 due to reduced capacity, we are encouraging our customers to book early.”

He added: “Following two summers of on-and-off-again travel restrictions, our UK customers now have 24 new routes to choose from when booking their long-awaited S’22 holidays.

“Whether planning a relaxing family getaway to the picturesque surroundings of Chania, an adventurous trip to the mountain hike trails of Madeira or a romantic city break to Milan, our summer ‘22 schedule will not disappoint.”
