A new destination in Bulgaria is being added to Wizz Air’s network from the UK.
The low-cost carrier is to serve Plovdiv, described as the cultural capital of Bulgaria, from Luton airport.
Three flights a week will run to the country’s second largest city from November 3 with fares starting at £17.99 one-way.
The new service means that Wizz Air will be offering more than 80 routes from Luton airport.
The carrier has started more than 35 new routes in the UK over the past 12 months, despite delaying the opening of a new base at Cardiff airport.
Wizz Air UK managing director Marion Geoffroy said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of another destination to our network from London Luton Airport, Wizz Air’s first and largest base in the UK.
“As our UK network continues to grow, we are on the lookout for enthusiastic cabin crew and pilots to join our team.”
