The booking engine for B2B bedbank Bedsonline has been revamped into an AI-powered travel technology solution.
The company is moving beyond its role as a traditional booking engine, transforming how agents search, compare, and select options for customers.
The integration of artificial intelligence into the platform’s operating layer is at the core of the revamp.
Bedsonline now analyses booking intent and performance signals to guide agents toward more relevant choices rather than simply displaying inventory.
The aim is to make searches more intuitive, with product suggestions becoming smarter, and the time needed to compare options “significantly reduced”.
Other enhancements are planned across search, cross-selling, suggestions and decision support tools.
The strategic repositioning claims to give travel agents a “tangible competitive” edge.
Parent company HBX Group said: “As travel becomes more complex and client expectations rise, simple access to inventory is no longer enough.
“The travel sector is entering an intelligence-driven era where speed, relevance, and decision support will increasingly define competitiveness.
“Positioning AI at the heart of the booking process strengthens platform stickiness, supports agent productivity, improves conversion and reinforces Bedsonline’s ambition to move from a distributor to a true travel technology partner.”
Chief distribution officer David Amsellem added: “With this new version of Bedsonline, we’re giving travel advisors smarter tools that help them save time, increase value, and deliver a better experience to their clients, taking advantage of the benefits of AI without losing the personal expertise that sets each one of them apart.
“This is the beginning of the 2026 transformation that puts intelligence at the heart of every search, every comparison and every booking.”
