Cathay Pacific has cancelled all flights to Dubai and Riyadh for the rest of March “in view of the volatile situation in the Middle East”.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong flag carrier is increasing frequencies to London and adding capacity to Zurich to “cater for an upsurge in market demand for Europe”.
A statement issued by the airline reads: “In view of the volatile situation in the Middle East, and to provide both our passengers and cargo customers with greater certainty for their planning, Cathay Pacific’s daily Dubai and Riyadh passenger flights have been cancelled up to and including March 31.”
Affected travellers will be offered the option to rebook, take an alternative route or cancel their tickets.
The statement adds: “We continue to monitor the situation closely. The safety of our customers and people guides every decision we make.”
