Club Med will open a resort in Borneo in November, which will be the all-inclusive brand’s second property in Malaysia.
Bookings open on Monday (March 23), in line with the brand’s winter 2027 sun sales opening.
Club Med Borneo is in Kuala Penyu and offers views of the South China Sea.
Stéphane Maquaire, president and chief executive of Club Med, said: “The opening of Club Med Borneo represents a significant milestone in our global expansion strategy.
“Club Med Borneo is a testament to our commitment to growth in southeast Asia and our dedication to creating destinations that balance premium luxury with environmental stewardship.”
It is 90 minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport and can be accessed via several flight routes from the UK and Europe to Kota Kinabalu, as well as by road from Brunei International Airport.
The property offers 400 rooms within a 17-hectare beachfront setting, plus a range of dining options, bars, kids’ clubs and a spa.
More than 20 activities are available on the site, including kayaking, sailing, padel, and flying trapeze and circus school.
