Fred Olsen Cruise Lines unveils fleet reunion plans

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines plans to bring all four of its ships together in Funchal, Madeira, next year.

The vessels – Bolette, Borealis, Balmoral and Braemar – will set sail on four separate cruises following the ‘Fleet in Funchal’ reunion in November 2023.

A quayside party will also be held and passengers will be given the chance to explore the other ships while they are docked in port.

Up to £400 onboard credit will be added to passengers’ accounts during the cruise, depending on their cabin grade.

Peter Deer, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines’ managing director, said: “This is set to be an incredible day in our history, as it will be the first time that our new fleet will be in port together since we set sail again last summer.

“Our teams here are already busy curating a programme of events and will be working very closely with the team in the Port of Funchal to ensure it is a truly memorable day for all.”

He added: “Of course, while our Fleet in Funchal event will undoubtedly be a highlight, each ship will be embarking on its own adventure, offering guests the chance to enjoy warmer climates during the British winter.”

Bolette will operate a 15-night Spain & Portugal with Fleet in Funchal cruise; Balmoral will sail a 15-night The Canary Islands with the Fleet in Funchal voyage; Braemar will offer a Discovering Cultural Morocco with the Fleet in Funchal sailing and Borealis (pictured) will complete The Azores with The Fleet in Funchal cruise ahead of the reunion.
