Hurtigruten Expeditions unveils ‘record-breaking’ 2023-24 season

Hurtigruten Expeditions has launched its 2023-24 cruises, with more than 150 different itineraries representing the most extensive range in its history.

The programme features voyages to the Galápagos, Antarctica, Arctic, Alaska, west Africa, the Caribbean and the Canary Islands.

There are four different, year-round itineraries in the Galápagos Islands aboard the newly upgraded MS Santa Cruz II in collaboration with Metropolitan Touring, in which Hurtigruten Group recently acquired a 24.9% stake.

Year-round expedition cruises are on offer to Norway and the Arctic, with departures from Hamburg and Dover on MS Otto Sverdrup and MS Maud.

For Antarctica, there are 34 different departures – the cruise line’s largest ever offering on the continent – with three ships exploring Falkland Islands and South Georgia.

Also featured is a series of pole-to-pole expedition cruises and more off-the-beaten-track Alaska expedition cruises, plus Svalbard in the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland and the Chilean fjords.

Leading up to the 2023-24 season, the size of the expedition team on all Hurtigruten Expeditions’ ships will be increased and more expedition equipment will be added.

It means passengers can choose from a wider range of activities, such as kayaking, hiking, lectures and science projects.
