Flight Centre has opened a new store in north London, as part of its drive to open more bricks-and-mortar stores in the UK.
Located on Upper Street at the Angel, Islington, the store will sell holidays, cruises, tours and more.
Store manager Imogen Kerr joins Flight Centre Angel from the Monument branch in central London, having started with Flight Centre Travel Group’s Fast Track graduate programme in 2024.
This scheme aims to support progression from an entry level role to senior management in 10 years.
Kerr said: “We are so excited to be opening our first north London outpost, right in the heart of Islington.”
Joe Beevis, Flight Centre UK general manager, added: “We know that four in every five Brits see the value of travel agents, so bringing our centre for travel to more customers in north London is a no-brainer.
“We believe that it’s those human, face-to-face interactions which mean Flight Centre UK’s strongest asset, our people, can deliver a personalised travel experience.
“As part of this commitment to person-led travel, we are full steam ahead with our ongoing commitment to opening more stores across the UK this year and beyond.
“We’re also conscious of the increasing need to keep the wheels of travel turning while supporting the people that make that happen.
“The opening of our new store is a welcome addition to the already buzzy streets of Angel, a significant retail and leisure hub that’s proof of the enduring relevance of the high street.”
The addition of Flight Centre Angel means there are now 13 stores across London, the Home Counties and southern England.
