G Adventures has unveiled its first trips to Dominica, putting the Caribbean island “firmly on the adventure map” as an alternative to traditional fly-and-flop or beach holidays.
The company said it is “the first global adventure operator to launch trips of this kind on the island” which has long been associated with cruise tourism.
The new trips showcase the island’s rich inland and marine experiences, for premium adventure travellers seeking “active experiences and deeper cultural connections”.
The itineraries are part of G Adventures’ premium active Geluxe travel style, with a focus on physical activity and an “OMG Day,” giving travellers the opportunity to personalise their adventure by choosing between two different immersive experiences.
Yves Marceau, product vice-president at G Adventures, said: “We’re incredibly excited to expand our Caribbean offering with Dominica and to shine a light on its incredible natural and cultural richness.
“By moving beyond the traditional cruise narrative, we’re helping travellers experience the island more deeply while ensuring tourism revenue reaches local and Indigenous communities.”
