Luton airport is gaining a new airline with plans to start a service to eastern Europe.
Flyone Airlines is preparing to start daily flights to Bucharest for the summer season.
The link to the Romania capital is due to start on May 15 with three levels of fare options.
Moldova-based Flyone started operations a decade ago and received an air operators certificate from Romanian aviation authorities in 2022.
The carrier started serving Manchester in 2024.
Flyone chief executive Vladimir Cebotari said: “This agreement with London Luton airport marks the next important step in our growth strategy for the Romanian market.
“Our goal is to offer passengers more travel options to top European destinations while maintaining the high standards of safety, comfort, and accessibility.”
Luton airport interim aeronautical revenue director Simon Harley said: “With the continued addition of so many new routes and destinations to our departure boards, this is an exciting time for London Luton airport.
“Our commitment to offering even greater choice and flexibility to our passengers means ensuring we are connecting to important, attractive and sought-after destinations. Bucharest is just that - a city of contrasts and an unforgettable experience for those who visit.
