Uzbekistan carrier Centrum Air is weighing up a Manchester route as it seeks to develop Tashkent as a transit hub between Europe and Asia.
The private airline has confirmed its first two European routes, to Frankfurt and Copenhagen, from March 2026.
Centrum Air is also considering Tashkent flights to Manchester and Barcelona.
Airbus A321neo aircraft will be deployed on the confirmed European routes, with flights to Copenhagen taking seven hours and 30 minutes.
The airline was founded less than three years ago and operates a fleet of 15 aircraft to more than 40 destinations.
A statement said: “In addition to direct services, Centrum Air is actively developing Tashkent as a modern transit hub.
“Passengers from Denmark and Germany will benefit from convenient connections to Bangkok, Seoul, Guangzhou, Phuket, Delhi, Male, and other destinations.
“The airline plans to further expand its European presence in the coming years.
“Routes such as Manchester and Barcelona are currently under consideration, reflecting Centrum Air’s long-term ambition to strengthen its role as an international carrier connecting Europe and Asia through Uzbekistan.”
Founder and chief executive Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov said: “Expanding into Europe is an important milestone in our growth, enhancing opportunities for both the airline and our passengers.
“We are opening the doors to one of the most significant aviation regions in the world and creating new, convenient routes that will link Uzbekistan with Europe even more closely.
“These flights mark the beginning of a long journey, and we are confident that our passengers will appreciate the new travel opportunities we offer today and will continue to develop in the future.”
