More than 60 travel agents and tour operators met up for a cup of tea and a chat at Tipto’s 12th annual afternoon tea in the capital.
Held this year at the hotel L’oscar, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, chairman Vishal Patel thanked agents for their continued support of the networking organisation and its events, including roadshows.
He revealed two further agent events will be held on board Ambassador Cruise Line this year as well as two summer race days.
Patel, director of Travelpack, said: “I want to say thank you for making this a fantastic year for Tipto, for promoting us to your agents and across your networks. That makes a real difference.”
He added: “We are incredibly excited about the year ahead. This year is our 12th year of doing the Tipto Afternoon Tea, bringing the industry together, and we are just getting started.
“2026 will be a big year; we have 26 roadshows planned before the summer, plus three SuperShows, and we are really excited about them.
“This year we are in a really strong position. We are currently at 26 members, which includes a new member for this year SPL Villas. That loyalty is what really drives Tipto.”
He said 64% of attendees at Tipto roadshows between September and December 2025 were ‘brand new to Tipto’ and 40% were homeworkers, reflecting the growth and importance of that sector. “That diversification of members is hugely important to us,” he added.
Tipto also revealed it has raised £7k for charity Reuben’s Retreat in in its 26th year, and collected £35k in total since 2012.
