Nick Longman is to step down from his role as chief executive of Audley Travel after nearly eight years at the helm.
The tailor-made operator has appointed Richard Hodgson to replace Longman, who joined Audley from Tui in 2018 and will transition to a senior advisor role.
Hodgson will join the business on March 23 and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the grocery, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, restaurant and franchising sectors, including roles at Pizza Express, Waitrose and Asda.
Most recently, he was group chief executive of food giant Wonderfield, overseeing brands such as YO! Sushi and the sale of the company to Japanese PLC Zensho in 2023.
Richard Prosser, chairman at Audley Travel, said: “I’d like to thank Nick for his hard work and dedication during his time as chief executive.
“He leaves the business in extremely good shape, and with 2025 being our most successful and profitable year to date. I’m grateful that Nick has agreed to stay on as a senior advisor, as with nearly 30 years of experience in travel he can continue to add real value to the business.”
Prosser said Hodgson would “take Audley Travel on the next stage of its growth journey”.
“Richard has the ideal experience with an exceptional track record of building high performing teams, driving growth and nurturing a culture built on creativity, ambition and care for people. I’m delighted to welcome him to Audley Travel,” he added.
Hodgson said: “I’m very much looking forward to leading Audley Travel through its next phase of growth and working with the team to deliver extraordinary and exceptional moments across the destinations.
“The business sets the standard in tailor-made travel and is well placed to take advantage of the growing desire for highly personalised, authentic, responsible and meaningful travel experiences.”
