Quark Expeditions has hosted 10 agents and their guests on a 13-day Arctic fam trip.
The agents, from the UK, the US, Canada and Australia, won their spots on the Ultimate Arctic Voyage on Ultramarine in the expedition operator’s Arctic Sweepstakes competition.
The hosted voyage took the agents to 82° latitude, the furthest north the ship had ever ventured, and agents had the opportunity to visit two birdwatching havens in Alkefjellet and the remote island of Jan Mayen, plus a rare experience witnessing a polar bear feeding on a whale carcass.
Agents also took part in a seminar at sea focused on Antarctica, had one-on-one time with expedition experts and had an onboard credit to use at the wellness facilities.
UK-based agents Fiona Field from Travel Designed, Telina Lawrence from The Travel Professionals and Tamatha Frederick from Audley Travel joined the fam trip.
Business development manager Chris Catanzariti, who hosted the trip, said: “Our fam voyages are designed to expand horizons, both literally and professionally.
“Standing on the deck at 82° North or witnessing wildlife few ever encounter gives advisors a perspective no brochure can capture.
“They return with a depth of understanding that allows them to guide clients with authenticity and passion, shaped by their own first-hand polar experiences.”
Winners of this year’s Arctic Sweepstakes competition who will go on a trip next year include Anjalina Young from Mundy Cruising and Georgia Letts from Exodus Adventure Travels.
