Ramble Worldwide has expanded its India programme for 2026 with four new guided tours.
The additional itineraries span West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Ladakh, and include a detour into neighbouring Bhutan.
The four new trips are: a 14-night Trekking in Ladakh & the Indian Himalaya trip; 14-night Bhutan & India’s Himalayas Explored; 16-night South India’s Hill Stations & Tea Plantations; 13-night Wilderness Walks in the Heart of India: Taj, Tigers & Temples.
Trekking in Ladakh & the Indian Himalaya trip has a moderate walking rating and features the remote region of Ladakh, known as India’s Little Tibet. It includes remote valleys and high-altitude deserts surrounded by dramatic peaks, with hikes to hilltop monasteries, meals in locals’ homes, a trek across mountain passes, and the chance to meet monks, yogis and Tibetan medicine practitioners. It ends in Delhi with lunch and a rickshaw ride to take in historical landmarks.
The trip, from £3,999, includes return flights from Heathrow to Delhi, transfers, full board accommodation, entrance fees, local transport, a local English speaking guide and Ramble Worldwide walk leader. Departures are on April 21, September 22 and October 13, 2026.
Other highlights in the new tours include a journey on the Unesco World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway; a hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan; a trip to the Taj Mahal; hill trekking in South India’s Western Ghats and the chance to explore Tamil Nadu’s Raj-era hill station of Kodaikanal.
Managing director Wayne Perks said India was a "proven favourite" with customers, and said the new itineraries met "rising demand for meaningful, experience-led travel".
He credited recent TV shows such as Race Across the World for reigniting interest in India, adding: “By curating a refreshed programme that blends the familiar with the new, we are showcasing the very best of India while strengthening our long-haul portfolio in a market with clear growth potential.”
