Responsible Travel has launched an agent incentive as its trade-bookable collection expands to more than 1,000 holidays.
Until July 31, for every booking via its agents’ hub collection, the operator is offering a £200 cash gift, alongside its standard 10% commission.
In addition, agents can request a free day out for a disadvantaged young person via Responsible Travel’s global Trip for a Trip initiative, or a £20 Lonely Planet guidebook voucher when they declare a booking.
Each incentive gift can be claimed by an agent or passed on to their customer.
Tim Williamson, Responsible Travel co-managing director, said: “In an increasingly digitised world, agents remain at the heart of travel. They do far more than sell holidays – they build confidence, trust and lasting customer relationships.
“We absolutely want to harness, support – and reward – their skills, expertise and loyalty.
“We’re excited to strengthen existing relationships and build new partnerships for the future.”
Tessa O’Hara, Responsible Travel partnerships manager, said: “We’ve now got more than 1,000 holidays in our agent hub – tailored and small group – offering incredible variety and global coverage.
“Japan is having a particularly strong year for us, while safari destinations including Uganda, Tanzania, Namibia and Kenya continue to perform well.
“Scotland and the Baltics are also up this year, and the Galapagos remains consistently popular.”
About a dozen new trips have been added over the last couple of weeks and the operator is working with partners to continue expanding the collection.
It is best known for walking, wildlife, small-ship cruising and family trips.
Enquiries for small-group walking holidays have increased 10% year on year, for the first three months of the year, while those for rainforest-based holidays have increased 32%.
Furthermore, enquiries for tailormade safaris are up 28% while enquiries for holidays with a citizen science angle have increased 40%.
New safaris added to the collection include a Kenya migration and Manda Bay beach holiday; Nyerere and Ruaha safari and Zanzibar holiday; and a Malawi safari and lake adventure holiday.
The new Cape Town, Kruger and Victoria Falls holiday costs from £2,750 for 11 days.
