Budget airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air have reported a rise in October passenger carryings.
Volumes at Ryanair were up by 5% year on year to 19.2 million passengers with a load factor of 93%.
Europe’s largest short-haul airline operated 107,000 flights last month.
The performance gave the carrier a rolling 12 month total up 5% to 204.8 million.
Wizz Air saw a 13% rise in October passengers over the same month last year.
The central and eastern European budget airline carried 6.36 million passengers last month.
This came as seat capacity rose 13% year on year to 6.85 million seats.
The load factor for the month was 92.9%, unchanged from October 2024.
The results give a rolling 12 month total of 67.4 million passengers, up 7.8% on the same period a year earlier.
The airline continued to refocus its network towards its core markets during the month with the opening of bases in Yerevan, Armenia and Podgorica, Montenegro - the 36th across its network.
