Simon Garrido to leave Specialist Holidays Group

Specialist Holidays Group’s UK and Ireland sales director Simon Garrido is to leave the business this week.

The company, which operates specialists Citalia, American Holidays and Sovereign Luxury Travel, said Garrido has played “an integral role in the integration of the Specialist Holidays Group brands and people” since its acquisition by TravCorp Holdings in July 2025.

“We’re very grateful to Simon for his significant work in helping us integrate, shape and grow our expanded travel trade team,” said chief executive Andy Freeth.

“Simon leaves us in great shape for what’s to come for Specialist Holidays Group. We wish him well with the next chapter of his career.”

Freeth added the company is “excited by what’s to come” as it “plans forwards and grows our business with travel agents in the coming months and years”.

The company’s trade travel team comprises head of trade partnerships Jorge Quibell; trade partnerships manager Luke Swarbrook; trade partnerships executive Maria Petkova; and Kim Sellman, who joins as trade partnerships manager.

Garrido worked for companies including Monarch Travel Group and Attraction World before joining Travelopia as head of sales in 2019. He then served as Specialist Holidays Group’s sales director for the UK and Ireland from March 2025.
