The number of new travel job placements has reached its highest level of the year so far, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
April’s total rose by 9% from the previous month to record the largest volume since November. Last month’s figure was also up by 4% from April 2025.
The recruiter said April was also a positive month for candidate numbers, with the volume of new travel job applicants rising to its second highest level in 15 months.
Despite falling by 5% from March 2026, last month’s total was higher than any other point since January 2025 and was up by 9% from last April.
However, the number of new travel job vacancies dipped to its lowest level so far this year.
With a 15% monthly drop, April 2026’s total was the lowest since December and was also down by 28% from April 2025.
Barbara Kolosinska, co-owner and managing director at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “With the Easter holidays, April can often be a quieter month for travel recruitment, so it’s very welcome news to see placements increasing both month-on-month and year-on-year.
“This is the best month of 2026 so far for job placements, but we really need to see this momentum carry on throughout spring and into the summer months.
“While there was a dip in new vacancies last month, this has created real opportunities for those travel companies currently looking to recruit.
“Candidate volumes have remained healthy throughout the year, meaning there is great travel talent available right now for any companies advertising attractive roles with competitive salaries.”
All figures are drawn from the month’s new vacancies advertised with C&M Travel Recruitment.
