The specialist Africa tour operating arm of Sunvil Group has been sold for an undisclosed sum.
Expert Africa managing director Chris McIntyre led a management buy-out of the business which has operated under the Sunvil umbrella for more than 30 years.
The company covers Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, the Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zanzibar and Zimbabwe.
Expert Africa’s main office is in south-west London with satellite offices in Cape Town, South Africa and Windhoek, Namibia.
McIntyre originally worked for Sunvil and subsequently became a founding partner in Expert Africa.
Expert Africa was established in 1994 as Sunvil Africa and has grown over 31 years to become one of the leading specialists to sub-Saharan Africa.
New owner and nanaging director McIntyre said: “As we begin this important new chapter, Expert Africa is thrilled to continue building on its strong foundation of passion, expertise, and commitment to the regions we serve.
