Elite Travel Group is to extend its membership agreement with Advantage Travel Partnership by a further five years.
The partnership between the two consortia started in 2008, primarily to allow agents to benefit from commercial deals with suppliers.
The deal also enables all Elite agents to benefit from Advantage’s membership benefits and support services.
Elite Travel Group, founded in 1977 by a group of Midlands-based travel agents and originally known as Midconsort, is now a national organisation with members UK-wide.
It is 100% owned by its members and all directors are members themselves and can be elected on to the board.
The new deal renews and extends the membership partnership until 2026 with the aim of delivering “continued value” to Elite’s members as the sector recovers from the Covid pandemic.
Mike Richardson, commercial director, Elite Travel Group, said: “The partnership with Advantage is an important element of our structure and the relationship has been a great success over the last 13 years, delivering significant membership value to Elite members.
“This unique collaboration enables Elite members to remain aligned with Elite but yet benefit from the superb membership services and support provided by Advantage.”
Kelly Cookes, leisure director, Advantage, said: “I am delighted we have renewed our partnership with Elite and the team here at Advantage look forward to working closely with them over the next few years.
“Our strategic goals are aligned and the fact we are both fully owned by our members means that jointly we can focus on delivering for them as we emerge from the pandemic.”
