Etihad Holidays packages will be bookable exclusively online via travel agency websites developed by Travelgenix following the launch of a new API feed.
The tour operator, which specialises in destinations in the United Arab Emirates, formally launched to the trade in September with a series of events promoting a price parity guarantee and booking incentives.
The deal between Travelgenix and Etihad Holidays will give agents’ clients exclusive access to the operator’s long-haul product range to book online.
The Etihad Holidays API is being officially launched at World Travel Market.
Travelgenix hailed the deal a “significant milestone” because it opens up online bookability for long-haul holidays through its websites for the first time.
Currently Travelgenix websites offer API access to short-haul operator Jet2holidays as well as hundreds of airlines and other suppliers.
