Fred Olsen Cruise Lines to return to Caribbean after three-year absence

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines will return to the Caribbean in November for the first time in three years.

Borealis will makes its maiden voyage to the destination and offer a one-off itinerary calling at nine islands.

Guest speakers and geologists will be on board to share knowledge with passengers.

The 29-night round-trip Classic Caribbean Island cruise will depart Liverpool on November 15 and call at Portugal, Antigua, Martinique, Barbados, Bequia, Saint Lucia, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Netherlands Antilles. Prices start at £2,999.

Passengers can choose to join the sailing in Barbados to shorten the journey to 16 nights. The lead-in price is £1,299.

Head of itinerary planning and destination experience Martin Lister said: “We are thrilled to be sailing back to the Caribbean this winter and showcasing the best of the islands to our guests.

“There are many opportunities to uncover ancient history and fascinating cultures throughout the cruise.

“Highlights include Borealis cruising past the Unesco listed site of Saint Lucia’s towering volcano pitons and a myriad of outstanding waterfalls, Emerald Pool, Spanny Falls, Jacko Falls and Trafalgar Falls in Roseau, Dominica.”
