Riviera Travel executive joins Atas board

Stuart Milan, the channel director at Riviera Travel, has joined the board of the Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas).

He replaces Donna Jeavons, managing director for the UK and Europe at TTC Tour Brands, who is joining Abercombie & Kent in September.

Milan said: “I’m delighted to join the Atas board and to be working alongside such an esteemed group of experts.

“Atas is a leading source of information and insight for Riviera Travel and the wider industry, and I am keen to support their aim of raising the sector’s profile, as well as helping agents develop their expertise.

“Touring and adventure holidays are once again growing in popularity with the trade, not least because of the incredible range of experiences they offer.

“Agent support for Riviera has gone from strength to strength and we’re looking forward to further growing those relationships as travel continues to open up.

“I am eagerly anticipating getting started at Atas, as well as joining the trade at this year’s conference in November.”

In May, Milan outlined plans to increase bookings made via agents by widening trade distribution and hosting fam trips.

He said he hopes to increase trade share of business to 30% – up from 25% – before 2023.

Claire Brighton, Atas account director, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Stuart to the Atas board and look forward to working with him to raise the profile of touring and adventure holidays with travel agents.

“Riviera Travel has shown its commitment to the trade and recently increased its trade sales team to eight, showing how the team is keen to offer support to help agents increase their sales in this lucrative sector.”
